“ We’re pleased to say everyone gets a warm welcome here in our beautiful 16th Century pub set in the stunning Welsh Village location of Llanfechain. Plas Yn Dinas has been created as a place where you can feel at home, relax and enjoy your surroundings.”
When it comes to food and drink our focus is on fine local ales and carefully prepared country dining – all our ingredients are high quality and many of them are locally sourced. Our chefs have worked hard to put together a delicious and varied menu to ensure there is something to suit all tastes. Now all you have to do is come in and try it!
We guarantee you real food, real people and a warm unpretentious atmosphere.
The building itself was originally built as a courthouse we believe in the 16th Century, but today it has been beautifully renovated to provide comfortable surroundings for our guests.
If a chill is in the air then you can get cosy near our wood stove fires and equally if the sun is shining then you can relax outdoors in our beer garden with outdoor seating. And do not fear if you have a four legged friend with you – dogs are always welcome here too.
The Local Area
The local area is full of intrigue and there are many sites to visit as well as a variety of local walks.
The pub is close to Lake Vyrnwy Nature Reserve and Estate and there is plenty of local history to explore too. As well as a Norman Church there is Domen Gastell an interesting motte bailey castle.
We hope we have tempted you to visit us and the many nearby attractions! We look forward to welcoming you to Plas Yn Dinas in the near future.
